Get the best experience out of your stones!

We recommend washing the stones before adding a new scent if the scents do not complement each other. The simplest method is with soap and water. Use lukewarm water and some mild soap, preferably unscented. Mix a small amount of soap in the water and let the bubbles come out, activating the soap. Then submerge your stones for a few seconds. The soap will work on the leftover essential oils within the lava rock and lift them out. You can also go further and get a toothbrush or silicone brush and gently rub the surface of the stones. Perform a cleaning motion gently around the stone until you see some suds coming out, signalling that the soap has got into all those tiny cavities. Once you have completed this step you can go ahead and rinse until there is no more soap in the pores of the stone. Allow them to dry fully!
